The aim of the project:
 | To present a scientifically based description of the phenotypic and
genetic structure of Lipizzan horse breed |
| To recommend how to use the results of the prosject in everyday practice
of breeders |

To describe the gene structure of the breed using:

| measurements, photo's etc. |

Foreløpig er det 9 stutterier som har medvirket til prosjektet, med i
alt 586 hester.

Desuten ingår 66 kladruber hester i prosjektet, på stutterier Kladrub
og Slatina. Dr. Merkens er bekymret at hestene i forsøket utgjør rasens avlsbasis.
Nå skal alle private rase foreningen sender sin informasjon til Dr.Merkens. Dette
gjelder avlshopper brukt i avl 97/98.
